1+1=10
Hey, you out there reading this! What is the first thought that comes to your mind when you read the heading? You would probably say that this is wrong. According to Mathematics the answer should be 2. But, think a bit deeper and out of the box. In the language of computers i.e. In binary codes this expression is indeed true. According to binary arithmetic 1+1 is equal to 10.
Sometimes the perspective of the observer can be the borderline between right or wrong. You may find someone or something righteous, but your friend may deny your opinion. Here is an small example:
Mother Theresa is right and Hitler is wrong is in the opinion of the average human in the 21st century. But, to someone like Christopher Hitchens, Mother Theresa is guilty of prolonging the suffering of many by refusing to use modern medicine (which is cheaply available in India) on the sick and still using 30 years old techniques which were proven to be ineffective. Similarly, to a contemporary German during the Hitler era, he’s a leader (probably not unlike Donald Trump) who promised to make German great again after the embarrassing defeat in World War 1 and national bankruptcy due to great burden that the Allies put as War Reparation taxes.
Just like 1+1 can be equal to 10 in some perspective ‘M’ could be ‘W’ and ‘6’ could be ‘9’ depending on the situation. So the next time you judge , make sure to think twice, keeping in mind all perspectives , before you tag someone or something with good or bad.
